Tsavo West The land comprising Tsavo West game park became a game reserve because it was uninhabitable by humans due to lack of water and tsetse fly infestation. There are only two permanent rivers in the Tsavo both originating from Mount Kilimanjaro and Mzima Springs. AttractionsTsavo West Game Park is home to large herds of elephants and rhino. The numbers of Rhinos has recovered after almost being disseminated by poachers. You will also spot a lot of hippo, crocodiles, gazelles, zebra and giraffe. There are monkeys and birds too. Other animals living in the Tsavo West park are the lion, fringed-eared oryx, the gerenuk, the kudu and hyenas. You can also enjoy the great beauty of the land. The park is full of white and pink ipomea plants, acacia trees, miniature baobab and fuschia-pink flowers which radiate striking beauty. AccommodationThere is a beautiful lodge inside the park called Kilaguni. It stands at the centre of Tsavo West and is a nice place to view game like ground squirrels, warthog, hyrax, mongooses and birds that come to the waterholes nearby. |

Tsavo East Game Park is larger than Tsavo West, but only a small part of it is open to the public. The rest provides a sanctuary for animal wilderness.
AttractionsMany people come here to see the Yatta Plateau, one of the world's longest lava mountain range.
You will also get a chance to see crocodiles relaxing on the banks of Lugard Falls on the Galana river.
Other animals you can find here are zebra, antelopes, kudu, hartebeest, warthog, ostrich and elephants.
