Samburu Game Reserve Samburu National Reserve is located around the Ewaso Ngiro River in the dry northern region of Kenya. It is an arid semi-desert area. The big Ewaso ngiro river provides water to the surrounding dry areas and attracts a lot of wildlife. The Giraffe, buffalo, waterbuck and the rare Grevy's zebra from the surrounding dry areas go there seeking water. |
Lion, leopard and cheetah are also easily spotted. They come seeking water and prey.

Samburu is also home to large herds of elephants and gazelles, giving you a great opportunity to watch and photograph these great animals.
For bird lovers, you will have a chance to see the over 300 species of birds that live near the river and surrounding areas.
