Samburu National Reserve is located in the dry northern region of Kenya. It is next to Ewaso Nyiro river which provides water, hence attracting a lot of wildlife.
Some of the animals you can expect to see here include Giraffes, buffalos, waterbucks and zebras that come from the surrounding dry lands to the river in search of water. With a large number of grazing animals around, you will find predators like Lion, leopard and cheetah that come to hunt and look for water too.
Samburu National Reserve is also home to large numbers of elephants, gerenuks gazelles and numerous species of birds.
On the other side of river Ewaso Nyiro, you will find the Buffalo Springs National Reserve, a sanctuary for buffalos and other grazing animals. There is also the Shaba National Reserve nearby.
