Millions of Pelicans at lake Nakuru Lake Nakuru National Park is a big animal sanctuary located a short distance from Nakuru town next to Lake Nakuru. It is the place to get a spectacular view of millions of flamingos, pelicans and other animals like giraffes rhinos and lions.

Lake Nakuru was made a bird sanctuary in the 1960’s. The park's huge number of flamingos is supported by rare plants found only on Lake Nakuru.

One can travel to the park using the good paved roads from Nakuru town. There is also the Naishi airstrip if you need to travel by air.
