If you live in Europe, traveling to Kenya by air is very easy. There are many airlines offering direct and indirect flights to Kenya.

For fast direct flight from London to Kenya, you can use British Airways or Kenya Airways which offer direct flights to and from Heathrow airport in London.

Flights to Kenya (from North-America)

From North America, all flights to Kenya will connect through Europe.

The most common flights and the Best Airfares are from the United States cities of San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Boston, Washington and Chicago.

North West airlines is partnered with KLM Royal Dutch Airline and Kenya airways and offers connections through London and Amsterdam to Kenya.

Flights between India and Kenya

There are many well priced flights from Kenya to India (Mumbai/Bombay) and vice versa due to the large Indian populations in Kenya and large Kenya student population in India.

Kenya Airways and Air India offer the majority of the flights between India and Kenya.

Emirates and Qatar Airlines also offer flights to India.



Flights to Kenya from Australia and New Zealand.

Traveling between Kenya and Australia or New Zealand is a little more difficult because none of the trans-Asian airlines fly directly to Kenya.

The most direct route from Australia to Kenya is with Air-Mauritius which connects through Mauritius.

For the cheapest airfare from New Zealand and Australia to Kenya, you can use Emirates Airlines which connects via the Persian Gulf and South African Airlines (SAA) connecting through Johannesburg in South Africa.

Kenya is served by many international airlines which use its two international airports; Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi and Moi International Airport in Mombasa.

By Land:

If you are traveling between Kenya and Tanzania, there is a border crossing at Namanga which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

It is the best way to get to Mount Kilimanjaro by road. There are several buses that run frequently between Mombasa and Dar es Salaam and Arusha.

If traveling to Uganda from Kenya, use the border crossing at Malaba. Buses run from Nairobi to Kampala and weekly train service goes from Kampala to Nairobi and Mombasa.
