Backpacking Adventure

Backpack to remote and unique places only accessible on foot

Backpacking in Kenya Kenya is regarded as the cradle of humanity and it offers many opportunities to walk and see many wonderful places only accessible on foot. This also helps you experience the local peoples way of life since most of them travel on foot.

At the coast, backpacking here gives you the opportunity to see un-spoilt beaches, coral reefs and gorgeous coastal scenery.

Another good place to go walking is in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. This is a fast growing cosmopolitan city with great museums and lively night life.

The Amboseli National Park is also a great place to go view the great herds of elephant moving across the savannah and also watch the snow-capped Mt Kilimanjaro over the horizon.

The ancient city of Lamu is another great place to go backpacking. It has narrow streets that are only suitable for walking. Many visitors walk the town and experience its Swahili traditions and rich history and culture.

Masai Mara National Reserve is another popular destination for backpackers. It prides itself of majestic lions, elegantly striped Zebra, snorting Wildebeest and dainty gazelles.

A word of caution for backpackers. It is not very safe to travel alone in certain areas and is always advisable to travel in groups.
